Club Rules CLUB RULES
Rules for Members
1. Equipment is to be used only by members involved in class and who are accomplaied by a Clach.
2. Members must display appropriate behavoiur at all times during classes. Gymnasts will sit out of classes if thery are disruptive.
3. Do not run unless instructed by your Coach.
4. Respect must be shown for the premises, equipment, all coaching staff, the exectutive, staff and all members of the club.
5. Ensure mats and other safety equipment are in place before using equipment. Report and damage to your Coach.
6. Never attempt to perform a skill that has not been taught to you by your coach, unless authorised by your coach and there isa spotter available.
7. Be punctual for class. If late, inform your coach and warm up before commencing activity.
8. Have consideration for other classes and members. Walk around other classes and members and try not to disrupt them.
9. Shoes and not permitted on the gym floor or any mats.
10. Eating, inlcuding chewing gum, is not permitted during class or with the gym area.
11. Jewellery, including watches, is not to be worn during class.
12. Training attire must be tight fitting. Female gymnasts are required to wear a leotard with hair tied back. Male gymnasts are required to wear a leotard or singlet and shorts. All gymnasts must wear socks or tramp shoes to participate in trampoline activities.
13. Permission must be obtained form your Coach to leave class. This includes toilet and drink breaks.
14. Members must wait inside the club to be collected by parents/carers or for class to begin. Ther car park is out of bounds, not supervides and therefore unsafe.
15. Your Coach must be notified of any accident or injury immediately, no matter how minor.
#Parent's co-operation and support to ensure these rules are understood and followed is appreciated. They have been drawn up to ensure your child has a safe and pleasant environment in which to train..
Guidelines for Parents
1. Fees are to be paid promptly by the due date on Invoices. Cash, cheque, money order or direct debit is acepted. Fees may be placed in the red box inside gym in an envelope with your child's name, purpose (fees, comp nominations etc) amount and date written on it.
2. Should you have a concern, question or complaint, please follow the Club's Complaint Policy procedures. Do not discuss the matter with other club members or parents as this could cause bad feeling and mis informaiton within the Club.
3. Support the Coaches, staff and Committee in their enforcement of Rules and coaching techniques. Please do not complain to other parents if you have a problem - the Coaches and Committee are there to attend to these matters and again bad feeling and misinformation within the club can result from gossip.
4. Your child is under the ccare and supervision of the Coaching staff once upon the training area during their class. Please refrain from communicating with your child until thery have been dismised at the end of class. Do not remove your child from class without first speaking to the coach - they are responsible for your child during class and need to know where they are at all times.
5. Gymnasts are under the care of the Coach only whilst in class. They are responsibility of parents/carers while waiting for the commencement of lessons and after classes finish. There is no supervision for unattended children. Members must wait inside the club for parents/carers to collect them or for class to begin. Please ensure your child is punctual for class and collected promptly when class is finished. Coaches are there to train gymnasts and cannot supervise children left unattended by parents/carers before or after class.
6. Please do not speak to the Coach while they are teaching unless the matter is urgent. Their attention needs to be upon the gymansts in theri care during training.
7. Other children are not allowed on the floor, equipment or in the pit at any time. Parents/carers are responsible for children brought into the club and no responsibility will be taken for unauthorised use of equipment.
8. Registration fees must be paid before commencing class and all gymansts must be registered.
9. The club is a not for profit organisation and tries to keep costs to a minimun. You support in fundraising activities and working bees ensures your child will have the best possible facilities and equipment to aid their training.
#Parents are welcome and encouraged to discuss theid child's progress with their coach. However please make a time outside classes to discuss this with the Coach.
Complaints Procedure
POLICY:
The Emerald Gymnastics & Trampoline Club aims to provide quality coaching to gymnasts in a safe and supportive environment. The Club endeavours to resolve griveances quickly, confidentially and informally by consultation, co-operation and discussion.
PROCEDURE:
Strategies
Any concerns can be informally addressed by making an appointment with the Head Coach or Committee. Complaints may be writtren, clearly and specifically outlining the concern and either posted to the club or placed in teh fees box. Any unsigned letters will be discarded. The committee will be informed of any written or verbal concerns. Complaints will be dealt with quickly and confidentially by the Committee. Parents/ carers may meet with the Committee to discuss the issue. Parents/carers will be notified promptly by letter of any decisions made. All parties must be responsible for open and honest communication, to listen to all points of view and committed to follow through on negotiations. All parties are responsible for the appropriate and confidential treatment of the matter.
